What To Do For Earth Day?
Hey Seattlites. You’re green and you know it. You can’t help it but maybe you’re not sure what to do for this year’s Earth Day. Maybe you don’t want to do anything. Totally understandable. I mean, we do live in a “green conscious” area. But instead of seeing this as a time to grumble, maybe we should see this as a time to celebrate how awesome Seattle is. Let’s continue being more awesome this weekend 🙂 No need to stop while we’re on a roll.
So what to do?
At Dr. Maze’s Farm in Redmond, there is a plant sale along with animals, classes to attend, hayrides, etc.. Starting today through Sunday (which is Earth Day). 10am-6pm. Anywhere from $2-8. Not bad!
You could help clean up a beach at Discovery Park in Seattle tomorrow, Saturday April 21, from 1pm-4pm.
If you’d rather party along with learning and caring for our Earth, then attend to Fremont’s Earth Day Celebration. 20 bands, DJs and acoustic musicians throughout the weekend. There’s also something for the kiddos. There is a dance party with Bubble Man from 11am-2pm. Check out the Nectar Lounge too. www.facebook.com/pages/Fremont-Earth-Day-Festival/244577612294114
Need to get rid of some crap? Unlimited shredding and electronics recycling tomorrow at two different Windermere offices. One is from 9am-11am and then from 1pm-4pm. Check out the link above 🙂
Or just pick up some trash you might see on your street. The point is: Keep being awesomely green, Seattle.
